The Crustacea series: A journey between the micro and macro

  • 31 January 2025

The Crustacea series explores the interplay of scale, where micro and macro merge imperceptibly. Created with ink and acrylic paint, each piece combines fluid strokes with precise pen marks, revealing intricate structures beneath the surface.

From a distance, the works evoke organic landscapes in motion. Up close, an invisible anatomy emerges—cellular patterns, expansion and contraction, growth and rhythm—suggesting life within the artwork itself.

This series reflects a fascination with nature’s duality: the simplicity of the whole versus the complexity of its parts. Every element is meticulously rendered, translating the hidden precision found in natural forms. Crustacea invites a closer look, where beauty lies as much in the details as in the whole.
