Jacqueline Duncan has been selected to exhibit her work Maelstrom in the ING Discerning Eye 2025, a longstanding UK exhibition that highlights small-scale artworks across a variety of media.
Established in 1990, the Discerning Eye supports diversity and originality in contemporary art. Each year, six independent selectors — two artists, two collectors, and two critics — curate individual exhibitions drawn from national submissions and invited artists. This curatorial model results in six separate yet interconnected displays, offering a broad view of current artistic approaches.
Duncan’s selected piece, ‘Maelstrom’, continues her exploration of structure and movement within the PIN series.

Created with hundreds of meticulously arranged pins, the work evokes motion, energy, and transformation — themes that reflect the artist’s ongoing dialogue between order and fluidity.
