Jacqueline Duncan’s artwork “Volcanic” has been chosen for the Guildford House Open 2024, hosted by Guildford House Gallery. From numerous submissions, 100 pieces were selected for this prestigious exhibition.
About “Volcanic”
In “Volcanic,” Jacqueline Duncan employs cut and folded paper openings to evoke the sensation of latent heat ready to erupt, allowing lava and gases to escape.

The underside of these folds is painted fluorescent orange, reflecting back to suggest extreme heat. Accompanying the theme, the intense black painting and drawing represent volcanic rock, enhancing the artwork’s exploration of volcanic phenomena.
