Wells Art Contemporary 2025

Wells Art Contemporary
8 October – 1 November 2025
Wells Cathedral, Somerset – UK

Jacqueline Duncan was selected for Wells Art Contemporary 2025, an international exhibition held in the Cloisters of Wells Cathedral. The exhibition situates contemporary practice within the context of the cathedral’s Gothic architecture.

Her selected work, TURMOIL (2025), from the PIN Series, is constructed from hundreds of pins arranged in layered configurations. The work investigates visual instability through density, spacing and reflected light.

Developed through repetition and controlled placement, the piece translates movement into a structured surface. It continues Duncan’s ongoing exploration of material process, perception and the relationship between order and flux.
