VAS Biennial 2025 — The Thread That Pulls

The Thread That Pulls | VAS Biennial 2025
5 December 2025 – 28 February 2026
Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh – UK

Jacqueline Duncan was selected to exhibit in The Thread That Pulls, part of the VAS Biennial 2025 at the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh. The exhibition brought together artists whose work engages with material process, repetition and memory across disciplines.

Duncan presented Meander, from the PIN Series. Constructed through layered structures and precise spatial organisation, the work examines rhythm, tension and duration through repeated linear elements.

Within the exhibition’s framework, the idea of a “thread” extended from physical line to structural connection. Meander responds to this through measured construction and sustained visual attention, emphasising process, continuity and time.
