The John Ruskin Prize 2026
29 January – 21 February 2026
Trinity Buoy Wharf, London – UK
Jacqueline Duncan was selected for The John Ruskin Prize, an international multidisciplinary award organised by the Guild of St George. The exhibition presents artists working across contemporary media whose practices engage with material awareness and close observation.
Her selected work, Relationship (2025), is a large-scale sculpture constructed from hundreds of wooden sticks combined with stainless steel. The work examines balance, tension and structural dependence, using repeated linear elements to build a stable form.
Through careful construction and the use of modest materials, the sculpture develops a spatial framework that considers connection and support. The work continues Duncan’s ongoing investigation into structure, material behaviour and physical presence.
