SP-Arte 2026

SP-Arte 2026
8–12 April 2026
Pavilhão da Bienal, São Paulo – Brazil

Jacqueline Duncan presented new works from her ongoing *PIN* series at SP-Arte 2026 with Galeria Eduardo Fernandes, São Paulo, where she has been represented since 2025.

The series explores how forces act across a surface through variations in the density, direction, and spacing of steel pins. Through repeated linear elements, the works generate shifting fields of tension, movement, compression, and release.

Informed by close observation of water, tides, and changing environmental conditions surrounding the River Dart estuary in southwest England, the works translate these dynamics into material structures. Small variations accumulate into interconnected systems shaped through rhythm, pressure, light, and perception.

Held at the Pavilhão da Bienal in São Paulo, SP-Arte is the largest art fair in Latin America, bringing together galleries, artists, collectors, and institutions across contemporary art and design.
